I don’t think it’s about the completion of perfection.
It’s the attempt toward it. It’s the longing. And seeking to make art of a moment. Seeking the ultimate beauty. Seeking unity. Seeking family. Seeking belonging.
The attempt toward the dream of Oneness. Then beautifully missing it and something else swooping in and doing it with us. With our help. What grace is that? What a collaboration. The dance with the Divine. That leaning in.
That blessed leaning in and finding firmness up against your touch.
But, you have to be willing to let go, to feel what it’s like to be caught, by Love.
She asks for your help to soar you see. And if it is a life of Art you want, a life of expanding, you must make room in there for her to move. You must die to what is stuck. You must remove the obstacles that stop you from falling. Toward Love.
You must be willing to hurt while the growing pains take place. You must be willing to feel very uncomfortable for a sustained period, while she holds you still and does the deeper work — the kind that is inside the chest, where the heart is. You have to promise not to move for a bit.
Ouchy!
All I want is for Life to move me.
Limb by limb, in the right direction.
Till next time,
Very insightful. I feel much longing in this one. I think we all strive for family, love, and get discouraged when it doesn't happen. But, we keep pushing 'limb by limb'. I wonder why for some it's so hard, and some it's so easy, to find that 'Goldilocks' type of love/relationship where it's not too little or too much; just right.
... Or perhaps relationships are just constant struggle, showered with occasional happiness that makes it all worth it in the end
We need to feel pain to grow & sometimes is just seems easier to not feel that pain...
BUT we must feel to have life and that does entail pain in growth!
