I have to admit I haven't been following your musings, though I've been a big fan of your music and persona. I've been focusing on rectifying my past life in the arts following serious health issues and shifting career that resulted. I don't know why I read this specific post but your poem gripped me immediately, the reference to "falling into a vortex of screens" coming across perhaps in and altogether different capacity for myself than others might relate. Of course this is all too difficult to explain, just know that it struck me in a profound capacity, as poetry sometimes can and does, as I spend my free time constructing my memoirs as an attempt to make sense of my history as well as a potential way to feel comfortable navigating into whatever future is there for me. So thank you for sharing, I'm glad I chose today to open and read.

This is exactly why I share, hoping it catches someone when they need it -- and also to make sense of my history and navigation. I'm glad you are writing your way through yours too. Thank you

Spirit DOES speak through the present moment because when you’re fully conscious on a moment to moment basis, you are outside of time. You no longer identify with your body or emotions. You become the playful observer who can create. I appreciate the inner work you have done and documented here. I took some time off from writing and online activities to really finish a self initiation I had started. I have come to the end of the beginning, the 8th sphere. On January 1, my two year sober anniversary, I came back and changed the name of my stack to “Youngblood Elixir.” I started posting poetry with audio and I intend on releasing twelve poems. In this poetry is laid bare the journey and who I am remembered. I’ve appreciated the journey you’ve documented and as someone who has dug your music since Vows (saw you at the Metro in Chicago for that tour), it’s great to see an artist authentically connect with people. Keep being you and digging deeper to the Self. I see you talk about the Tao a lot. Have you ever done Qigong? Many blessings to you this year.

Today I train to a station not far from here / in order to pick up new glasses / I’ll disappear in a huddle of shopping masses / and try to find my bed and your poem on the way back / like judging in the dark the right path from the track I started running on.
